Bio: Officer Kyle Hicks was born in Everett, Washington to his parents Rob and Ann Hicks on January 16, 1992 where he would spend his childhood and younger school years. The family relocated to Texas when Kyle was only 12 where he proudly became a Texan! He received his formal education at Grace Preparatory Academy in Arlington, Texas, graduating in the Class of 2010.

Kyle lived his life fully immersed in service of others. Beginning his working career as an employee of Chik-Fil-A, where he met his soulmate Cassie. In an instant, divine, connection the two found a home within the other and so the love story goes. Marriage and children quickly followed, the two joined as one on May 3, 2014 in Arlington, Texas, where Kyle’s parents blessed the couple with the perfect backyard wedding.

First born, Rilee Jane Hicks, was welcomed on October 27, 2014; Cayde Andrew Hicks on February 2, 2017, Amelia Kate Hicks January 7, 2019 and Tucker James Hicks on January 13, 2021; four precious blessings that he loved immensely. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world and he was unendingly proud of his four children.

Kyle was a compassionate, honest, person, with strong moral principles; a man of full body and mind and integrity. He was quiet in nature; spoke when he was spoken to. He had a unique sense of humor and lived life freely; reminding those he loved that we must enjoy every minute we share together and to not take it all too serious. This beautiful personality we attribute to the work of his amazing parents.

Kyle was never afraid to take on new opportunities. Through his tenure with Chik-Fil-A he quickly moved up the ranks to General Manger. This dedication and the willingness to serve allowed him to fulfill a lifelong goal of becoming a Police Officer with the Corpus Christi Police Department; graduating from the police academy on January 27, 2023. The unending stories of his generosity, kindness, and attention to detail, while protecting our community, continue to bring comfort and joy to his family.

Kyle also loved music and video gaming, he could often be found listening to his favorite band Death Cab For Cutie. He was an immensely talented individual and was musically gifted. He loved to play several instruments such as guitar and a little piano. He spent many a nights singing to the kids; a hobby he truly enjoyed; forming priceless memories that will provide them with a lifetime of love.

This profound legacy will live on forever; his example of courage and strength is embedded in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. Kyle, you will shine as the brightest star in the universe; forever loved and forever remembered, until we can meet again.

There are no words to explain the gratitude we feel for the outpouring of love we have received as a family. To know he was so loved provides a blessed assurance.
