Bio: Kelly was born in Richland, Washington to Bernard Carl Rolando Jr. and Renee Denise (Caraway) Rolando.

Kelly grew up in Butte, Montana and attended school in Butte, Montana, graduating in 2007. During school Kelly ran a paper route for Montana Standard. In 2014 he moved to Pleasant Hill to live with his mother. Kelly began working at the Department of Corrections in 2015. Kelly worked at the Vandalia Department of Corrections for three years before transferring to North East Correctional Center in Bowling Green, where he was currently employed as a CO1.

Kelly enjoyed Comic-Con and anime. He loved wearing brightly colored Hawaiian shirts. Kelly collected swords and Star Wars Legos. He loved going to the movies, especially Marvel, DC, and Disney movies. DeadPool, The Flash, and Superman were his favorite characters. Kelly was very good at imitations, especially Chewbacca and Donald Duck. He liked steam punk, and enjoyed the Steam Punk Festival in Hannibal every year. Kelly was a total geek through and through. He was never afraid to just be himself, what you saw was what you got. Above all, Kelly adored his nieces and nephews.

Summary:	Correctional Officer Kelly Rolando was killed in a vehicle crash at 7:14 p.m. on the 54 Bypass in Mexico, Missouri. Officer Rolando was returning to the Northeast Correctional Center in Bowling Green from a temporary assignment at the University Hospital in Columbia when he collided head-on with a vehicle traveling southbound. He and the driver of the other vehicle were killed instantly.
