Bio: Mark Anthony Gaspich was the youngest son of John P. Gaspich, Sr. and the late Anna T. (Meszaros) Gaspich. Mark was a graduate of the Penn State Justice and Safety Institute PA Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff Training Program, PA Department of Corrections Academy, the Harrisburg Area Community College Fire Academy, and numerous training courses. He attended Bloomsburg University and Harrisburg Area Community College.
Mark was a true lifetime public servant. Mark's death occurred while working as a Correctional Officer at the State Correctional Institute at Camp Hill. He previously served his community as a Corporal with the Dauphin County Sheriff's Office for 15 years, an Emergency Medical Technician, and a Community Service Officer with the Lower Paxton Police Department. Mark was a proud Volunteer firefighter with the Linglestown Fire Company #1, Station 35, beginning his volunteer fire service at the young age of 16. Mark responded to New York City in the aftermath of the terroristic attacks of September 11, 2001 as a trained Critical Incident Stress Debriefer. He was proud of both his service in New York City and helping many other first responders over his lifetime work through the difficulties of their public service.
Mark lived life to its fullest, always shared his infectious laughter, was a true friend to many, and truly dedicated his life to helping others. |
