Bio: Patrick was born in Merriam, KS to John and Marcia Rohrer. He was a graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in 2001, Kansas State University in 2006 and later studied Criminal Justice at Johnson County Community College graduating in 2017.

Patrick joined Cub Scout Pack 3298 at Mill Creek Elementary. He joined Troop 401 at Salem Lutheran Church, Lenexa, KS in 1994. He became an Eagle Scout in 1998 and was a runner in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He did two treks at Philmont Scout Ranch.

During high school, Patrick was a varsity letterman on the swim team and also appeared in school musicals all four years.

In September 2007 Patrick married Sarah Carr. They had two children, Emma N. Rohrer, 2008 and Connor T.W. Rohrer in 2012. Their family motto was, 'Keep on Swimming'. He loved family, friends, enjoyed Comicon, brewing ale and playing video games with friends and family. Emma said, 'He liked to play video games with kids'. He was a kind hearted jokester-geek.

He began work at the Wyandotte County Sheriffs Department 2011. He loved his job, proud of what he did and was happy with his life. He was courageous, not afraid to be himself and generous as a friend. He always made others want to be better.

Fatal Incident Summary

Offender:	Antoine Ramon Fielder :: Black / Male - 28 years old

Location:	Court Services Building Wyandotte County, KS USA Fri. Jun. 15, 2018
Summary:	Deputy Sheriff Patrick Rohrer and Deputy Sheriff Theresa King were shot and killed as they transported a prisoner to the Wyandotte County Correction and Court Services Building, at 800 7th Street, at approximately 11:15 am. They were unloading the prisoner from the transport van in the facility's exterior sally port when the man attacked them. He was able to disarm one of the deputies and shot them both. Despite being mortally wounded, one of the deputies was able to return fire and wounded the subject.
Disposition:	Subject Antoine Fielder charged with two counts of capital murder in the shooting deaths.
