A decorated war veteran, Anthony was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal, the Navy Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal and the Global War on Terror Service Medal.

Anthony joined the Savannah Police Department in December 2015 and was officially sworn in on May 19, 2016, where he was assigned to the Central Precinct. He loved being a police officer and was passionate about serving his community. Anthony was respected by his fellow officers and the people he came in contact with while on the job. He was the type of officer that everyone wanted to ride a call with and had the innate ability to take control of a situation and provide a calming presence. In 2016, Anthony and other officers were awarded a Team Work Award for assisting in the search and rescue of a missing child abandoned in the woods by a robbery suspect.
