Bio: Kevin was born in Utica, a son of George and Linda Pelow Crossley. He was a graduate of Whitesboro Central High School and earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Mohawk Valley Community College. He then completed the Police Academy at Cazenovia College.
Kevin began working, as a teenager, at Reeder's Service. Officer Crossley fulfilled his lifelong dream of service to his community as a Police Officer, first with the Town of Whitestown Police Dept. and was currently serving with the Village of Whitesboro Police Dept. He was a member of the John J. Buley Police Benevolent Association. He previously served the village as a Captain with the Whitesboro Fire Dept.
Mr. Crossley was a member of the Sons of the American Legion; Penn Mountain Snow Riders, where he often worked on the trails in addition to riding his snowmobile; he loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle; enjoyed camping; boating; and NASCAR. |

Summary: |
Patrolman Kevin Crossley was killed in a vehicle crash at the intersection of Oriskany Boulevard and Westmoreland Street at approximately 7:55 pm.
A vehicle traveling on Oriskany Boulevard in the opposite direction attempted to make a left turn in front of Patrolman Crossley's patrol car, causing a collision. Patrolman Crossley was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
