Bio: Ryan was a member of the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office and 150th Security Forces Air National Guard. He previously was a police officer with the Alamogordo Police Department. He also was a Navy veteran who proudly served his country.
Ryan was a family oriented husband and friend. He always made sure that everyone was taken care of no matter what they needed or the cost. He always went out of his way for someone, whether it was a family member, friend or someone he interacted with on a call.
Ryan was very dedicated to his brothers and sisters in blue, but more importantly, he was extremely devoted to his family here at home behind the blue. He was truly a family man. When Ryan bonded and formed friendships, it was like glue and there was no undoing it. Ryan would drop everything, at the drop of a dime, for anyone who needed him. He was always there for his brothers, Justin and Jarred when they needed his help.
Always dropping whatever he was doing to help his mother, Charlette. Whenever his daughter, Alissa needed his attention, he would do whatever he could to give her whatever she needed, even though he had a million things to do.
Ryan always made time for me, his wife, Joyce and was looking forward to the birth of our son, Maximus. He always made the effort to tell her he loved her and thanked her for all that she did for him and his family.
This was Ryan’s outlook on life too. He would say, 'Can you do anything about it right now?' If you said no, then he would always say, 'Then don’t worry about it, God is good! He will provide.' Ryan had the positive outlook on life; not only for himself but for everyone he worked with and was close too. He truly was a hero to his community and to his country. He loved to serve his country and community alongside all of his brothers and sisters. |
