Bio: Terry was born in Torrance, Calif.; the family moved to Corvallis in 1971. Terry was a 1988 graduate of Corvallis High School, where he was very active in Future Farmers of America. He worked with his father, mother and twin brother, Tony, at the family business, Ken Fisher Auto & Truck Repair, in Corvallis. He enlisted as a tank driver in the U.S. Army and returned to the family business until moving to Edmond, Okla., in 1990.
Terry married Kristi on Jan. 5, 1991. He worked for years at W&W Tire in Edmond with Kristi’s parents. He joined the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office as a Reserve in 2002 and became a full-time Deputy on May 19, 2009, after completing the academy program known as the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training.
During his service with the OCSO, Terry received many awards, including Bureau Employee of the Year, three Lifesaving Awards and three Traffic Safety Awards combating driving while intoxicated, to name a few. After becoming a full-time deputy, Terry continued to work at W&W Tire as well as holding a security position with LifeChurch.tv. Terry had an incredible work ethic and an immense pride in his family.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping, and loved cooking. He took great pride in his work as a mechanic and a deputy. |

Dep. Terry Fisher was training a new deputy when he began feeling ill and left work early. He had suffered a heart attack while on duty and was admitted to Mercy Heart Hospital, where he passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014.
