Summary:
Officer Kennedy was killed when his vehicle was broadsided by a truck that had run a red light. He was taking one of his charges children to a ferry to go see him on Vancouver Island. The driver of the truck got one day in jail, a fine and two years driving suspension.
Officer Kennedy was an ordained priest before becoming a probation officer. He was survived by his wife and three sons.
