Marshal Blair was shot and killed as he attempted to stop a shoot out between a father and son and a man the father thought stole his wife. Marshal Blair and the father were killed. Three years later the son and the man accused to stealing the fathers wife were in another shoot out and the son was killed.
Marshal Blair was survived by his wife and four daughters.
